Drawing is a vital part of the design process because it aids visual thinking and provides a means of representing and communicating the ideas which take shape in everyone’s minds.  The Working Drawings for a project are the final graphical representation of the work to be done and become the core of the Contract for Construction.  Sketches and computer renderings, particularly 3-D perspective drawings, are also helpful for visualizing how things will appear when the work is completed.   The Shop Drawings are given to fabricators and manufacturers during construction to aid in the accurate execution of their work off-site.
